Matriarchal Awareness of Domestic violence Against Men is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization acting as a force of positive change to advance the awareness of male victims of domestic violence.

Designed to give a safe haven and support for male victims  of domestic violence (and their children if any).

The goals of M.A.D.A.M. are:

  • To provide emergency housing for male victims of domestic violence and their children, if any.
  • To educate and maintain media on the importance of protecting the rights of the male victims of domestic violence.
  • To provide counseling to the male victims of domestic violence and their children, if any.
  • To direct and promote services for the male victims of domestic violence and their children, if any.

 

  • M.A.D.A.M. is an organization whose purpose is to enhance the quality of life of male victims of domestic violence and their families, articulated within its strategic plan such values as empowering fatherhood and the client to be the best they can be, valuing family, and placing high value on honesty, ethics, integrity, respect, equality and commitment.
  • We focus on the crime, not the gender.
  • Clients are involved and will make their own decisions.
  • M.A.D.A.M. male victims service is driven by a “quality first” mentality with regards to internal and external clients.
  • Equality for all victims of domestic violence, regardless of gender.
  • We want to ensure that all victims of domestic violence receive equal respect and protection under the law.
  • We believe that all genders should have equal access to quality health services.
  • We believe that all victims, regardless of gender, should have a safe place to live.
  • The stereotype of men as the sole perpetrators of domestic violence must be eradicated.
  • We provide focused training for local law enforcement to better determine the primary aggressor, regardless of gender.
  • We want a shelter in every state for male victims of domestic violence and their children, if any.
  • We want to ensure that false allegations are met with punitive repercussions.
  • We want equality  in the issuance of restraining orders through the court systems.
